Attendees were
WOWED!
Over 50 people booked into the February MCEI
Connect Event and were not disappointed. On registering, they were
entertained by Nigel, the roving, Award winning Magician together
with Kath – the diva with the dove!
Having experienced ‘first hand’
the magic of the evening – everyone waited in anticipation to hear
what further magic Naomi Simson of Red Balloon Days, would share
with them. And they were not disappointed…..
To have a magical business Naomi said we
needed magical friends; a magical team, magical suppliers and a
magical product. She pointed out that the ‘experience’ of the
customer is more important than the product/service we produce, as
it is this experience which causes one person to tell another to
tell another - and this is how the magical practice of ‘word of
mouth’ promotion takes place. And Naomi would know, being
number #10 in the BRW fastest growing start-ups list; being
finalist in the Telstra Small Business Awards; and Entrepreneur of
the Year at the Westpac Champion of Champions Awards Click
here for a synopsis of Naomi's speech.

The sponsor for the evening was
Micro Biz Navigator – the programme that allows any size and type
of business to be ‘star rated’ to give them a competitive edge. Sue
Stott and Ruth McIntosh of ‘A1 Admin’ (a three star rated
business) spoke about how they found the Navigator programme a
reality check for their business and how they use their logo to promote their rating to their client base.
‘Definitely Chocolate’ (a four star rated business) provided
the ‘thank you’ gift for Naomi!
