If you missed out on
hearing John Kirkhope of Diana Ferrari speak – you missed out on a
WOW of a presentation! John enthralled the audience with the story
of his ‘DREAM’ and how he achieved it. He entwined his story around
10
tips that he considers are
important when starting up and running a successful business. The
entire talk is available of
DVD and I can assure you, it
is well worthwhile listening to!

ENTERTAINMENT
‘Kat’ provided some WOW
‘cat’ contortions and was able to take on the personality of a real
cat, entwining herself around the legs of the visitors! Everyone
marveled at just what she could do with her body. It looked like
having a ‘bad back’ would not be one of her problems! |

PRIZES
Prizes came thick and
fast thanks to the generosity of many members. Nicholas Kyras won
the Digital Camera and Janice Ryan won the weekend accommodation on
the gold coast (donated by Deborah Richardson of Harps Marketing)!
Chocolates, books, DVD’s, and silk scarves were amongst the other
prizes.

NETWORKING
The MCEI Connect Events
have become the place to network (just look at the interaction in
the picture)….everyone is so keen to share with, and support each
other. They begin the evening by introducing themselves and their
businesses to everyone – then individuals make a bee line to a
member of interest during supper! On this night, there was even an
offer of work for one of the speaker’s children!

NEW MEMBERS
New members were
welcomed and received a special MCEI Wine Treasure Chest together
with a framed certificate of membership. There are also some
virtual members to welcome this month – all members will be
receiving the full set of DVD’s of the MCEI Connect Events run in
2006!!! A WOW of a Membership!!!! |

I was an old friend. People were genuinely interested in me and

good quality, not cheap rubbish.
- There was a 'showbag' of

shameless promotion of members - what they did and what they sold.
I totally endorse it … and it was conducted in a fun way. Not one
person headed for the exit till the event concluded.

This, in my humble opinion, is what a good membership event is
about It was fun and interesting for members and their
guests.
Well done …..… MCEI, you
certainly created a 'WOW' factor |
