Speaker
 Why do you
go to functions to listen to a speaker? Some may go because they
want to be motivated; others may want to learn a new skill or
approach to a problem; still others may be interested in the
profile of the speaker. But those who came to hear Rodney
Hogg were truly caught by surprise. They had no idea that they
were going to be engaged in ‘side splitting laughter’ for a full
hour, as Rodney entertained everyone with his crazy ‘story on story
on story’. You did not have to know anything about cricket to enjoy
this WOW of a performance. The bottom line was – that he had no
plan in his career – just a driving passion, and that is all he
needed to get him to the top (well….perhaps some skill too!) This
is one DVD that you will want to have in your
collection!

Services is a new member to MCEI. He recently won the hotly
contested Business Services Category in the Australian Home Based
Business Awards – and is still on a winning streak, having just
signed up another major client and then winning the Espresso Coffee
Machine door prize sponsored by Hannams Retravision. John is now
going to help MCEI become a ‘major winner’ too, as he has
graciously agreed to be a member of the newly formed MCEI Task
Force.
 Entertainment
It is always
difficult for those attending a function to immediately feel ‘part
of the group’ as they register and enter the room. How much harder
for someone to get across a message of 'fellowship and fun'
when they cannot speak at all! But our Robot, Cyber Boy, made sure
that everyone had something to say about his presence. New member
Marion Lau was quite willing to ‘sidle’ up to him and get some
‘goss’ on MCEI and its members!
Networking
 People
like to know what all those attending an event do – it helps them
to make targeted networking contacts more quickly and easily. After
all, it is very difficult to get to meet everyone at an event. At
this event, 18 members were present and they looked after the
visitors and made sure guests knew and understood what MCEI stands
for and what the association can do to assist them in their
networking. At a recent Focus Group – members all said that
networking was a major reason for joining MCEI.

its members like Royalty – is it any wonder members are joining in
droves! But we still have a way to go – Women’s Network Australia
(WNA) had 93 new members last month……can we beat that number! Now
that would be a WOW of an accomplishment!
