BLOCKBUSTER EVENT TO
END 2006
SPEAKER
Adam Elliot won the Oscar for a short
animated film titled ‘Harvie Krumpet’ featuring the voice of
Geoffrey Rush (another famous Australian actor). This film with
three others, ‘Uncle’; ‘Cousin’; and ‘Brother’ have been seen
in over 400 film festivals and have won over 100 awards! Adam has
won more awards than any other Australian director.
As he
shared his experiences of being nominated and finally going to
Hollywood, it became clear that the thing he worried most about
when getting on the plane, was forgetting to put in his dole form!
His journey was one of hope and excitement – a truly motivational
story!
