Awards 2007

BLOCKBUSTER EVENT
Our blockbuster event for the year was our Inaugural MCEI Marketing Awards. We had an absolutely wonderful time with nearly 100 attendees celebrating with the winners.

49 Small - Skye Gellemann.JPGThe entertainment was awesome with Skye Gellmann performing his circus Rola Bola tricks to great ‘ohhs’ and ‘ahhs’ and screams of delight once he achieved the balancing act he was attempting.

Then Drum Fire ‘fired’ everyone up just prior to the Awards Presentations. All had their own mini mud drum, mud shakers or stix and beat them to the clever direction of Boruch Moshel, while his partner simulated the Didgeridoo with his unbelievable voice.  The ensuing beat was indeed remarkable – and FUN!

Finally came the Award Presentation – and to the amazement (and disappointment) of many – Victoria missed out on all the major prizes. MCEI Interstate Members took all five awards:-

Marketer of the year-Cropped Small.jpg1) Jodi Ensor of Mud Drum Australia (South Australia) won the Micro category and was the ‘Marketer of the Year’ (finally she realised the importance of having the mud drum entertainment – no winners know in advance that they have won, so it is a huge surprise)

Annette Sym-Small.jpg2) Annette Sym of Symply Too Good (Queensland) won the Home Based Business category.

3) Linda Vining of Education Expo (New South Wales) won the Small Business category

Bev Ryan-Small.jpg4) Bev Ryan of Honestly Women (Queensland) won the Women in Business category

5) Samea Maakrun of Sasy n Savy (New South Wales) won the Ethnic Business category

John Kirkhope of the Diana Ferrari label (and winner of Awards for his business) was the guest presenter. In his speech, John compared business to the display everyone had just witnessed of Skye Gellmann balancing act, pointing out that as long as there was a sound and stable foundation to a business you could balance the remaining, ever shifting platforms, with patience and perseverance, just like Skye did!

MCEI received countless emails thanking us for having arranged such an awesome event. It is now up to us to produce more of the same quality next year – and welcome even more members!

“The MCEI Awards entertainment was excellent, and the opportunity to meet and talk with some very high achievers from interstate was fantastic. Thank you for a very well organised and very well run evening.” Stuart Dawson

" The MCEI Awards night was brilliant. I was thrilled to be a finalist and to meet all the inspirational Businessmen and Women who also attended. The networking was priceless. The venue was unbeatable - so professional. Congratulations to all involved. The feedback from the judges was extremely valuable and much appreciated. Can't wait till next year." Claire McFee

“Chris and I thoroughly enjoyed the evening; we found the entertainment, company and conversation most inspiring. The Award finalists, Winners, Committee and Task Force members were brilliant to speak to with. I gained countless ideas chatting with them all about their businesses. Thank you for the amazing experience”.Cheyanne Brae

Again, many thanks to the Sponsors who made this all possible.
