Q.  Tell us something about you – your philosophy, your lifestyle, your ethics, your hobbies etc.
A.  Moving to Gippsland six years ago has been the best thing I ever did. The lifestyle suits me and has enabled me to grow and develop both personally and professionally. I believe that you get out of life what you put in, be true to yourself and others will honour and respect that. I live on a five acre property so spend any spare time in the garden and looking at the views of Traralgon from our deck at night. We also escape (not often enough) to our Unit at Lakes Entrance to fish and just regroup, physically and mentally.

BUSINESS DETAILS
Q.  What is it that your business does?
A.   Soaring to the highest pinnacles in Professionalism and Customer Service Delivery we create outstanding personal marketing documents such as Resumes, Application Letters and Selection Criteria Responses. We also specialise in Business Profiles to give our clients a powerful marketing document to showcase their business, be it small or large. Our Documents really do make a Difference.

Q.  Do you work from home?     How many do you employ?
A.  Yes and No – I see clients in an office in Traralgon but complete projects from my home office. I don’t employ anyone as such but with the three territories that I own I have six consultants working as part of my team.

Q.  How long have you been in business?
A.
 I have held a Resumes for Results Franchise for four years and operated Additions Bookkeeping for seven years.

Q.  What makes your business unique?
A.  High level professionalism and customer service are first and foremost. We spend time with the client via phone or face to face to really find out what makes them ‘tick’ and transfer this information into a powerful marketing tool, assisting them to achieve their career and business goals.

MARKETING
Q. What is the most important Marketing/Networking tool/strategy your business has had success with?
A.  Our branding has been the most important marketing tool thus far. With 30 offices (and still growing) we are the largest franchised Career Services Group throughout Australia. The introduction of our consultant model in late 2007 has seen the team grow and strengthen with an amazing group of talented people always available to assist each individual consultant/franchisee. Your Brand is everything, treat it like Gold!

Q. Has your business been nominated for, was a finalist in, or won any awards or other commendations?
A.  No not as yet

ADVICE
Q. What is the most helpful piece of advice you could give to other businesses?
A.  To be successful you need to have a good Brand, treat it like Gold. Also ensure that your paperwork and record keeping is carried out with attention to detail, it is often the small things that can topple you. Lastly – People, deal with them the way you would like to be dealt with be it clients, suppliers or employees.

SUPPORT
Q. What is it you are looking for as a member of MCEI?
A.  Networking opportunities to allow for further Brand recognition. Along with referral networks and strategic alliances with recruitment agencies; labour hire firms; business, careers and personal coaches; business owners and advisors.

Q.  What is it you can offer to MCEI members?
A.  
I offer comprehensive Career Services or powerful Business Profiles to help the client achieve their goals, either business or personal. With six Consultants located in Gippsland, Melbourne and Tasmania my team provide and optimum service either face to face or via email/telephone consultations. Additionally being part of a franchised group I can provide an insight into both sides of franchising.

Q.  How do you envisage demonstrating your support and loyalty to the association of MCEI?A.  Attending functions where possible given distance and time constraints. Sponsoring Awards Categories if financially viable at the time. Proofreading of ebooks so that there are no typos!

MILESTONES
* Increased turnover by 150% in the last twelve months;
* Purchase of Tasmania (Oct 07) and Melbourne Central (Nov 07) FranchiseTerritories;
* Appointment and training of six wonderfully talented consultants.
* Part of a team that has grown from seven offices in Aug 07 to thirty in Mar 08.
